Hola! hable español?

Gaz here again chipping in his two Euros worth. Anna's skipped ahead to Spain, but missed out some of the bits we did in France, so I'll have to fill you in.

We finally went into Lourdes, and there are some impressive buildings for sure, just have a look at some of the photos. Of course we had to go to Bernadette's grotto, which is where she allegedly saw the vision of a beautiful lady, apparently the virgin Mary. Funny how it’s always a real beauty that appears in a vision, not an ugly mug.

Anyway, I digress, I touched the grotto (as you do), and grabbed some 'special' water to sip on, so now I'm apparently cured. Not sure what of, but I guess the more vocal ones out there will make suggestions. Keep it clean!

Oh while we were there, Anna and I had this wonderful piece of dialogue.....

Me:    Just seen a load of armed guards

Anna:  With guns?

Me:   Nope just with a lot of arms.

<insert cymbal sound effect here>

She is so gullible! Anna gave me the old hairy eyeball for about 10 minutes. I also suggested she go over to the confession booth, but we both agreed we couldn't waste another week in France.

And for dinner that evening, we ate like the French..... Pizza :-)

And that dear readers was the last of France. Bonjour.

Hola!

We are now in Spain, land of my ancestors. We did a mad dash away from France. Stunning countryside here but very barren in some places. I have to doff my hat though to the Spanish graffiti artistes. Where ever there was a building, in THE MIDDLE OF F*CKING NOWHERE, miles and miles from civilisation, those BankSy wannabe youths had literally covered each building in graffiti. Idiots, but they are putting in the effort.

Our second proper pit stop was in Ronda. Where we camped at Camping el Sur just south of the town and I enjoyed two bottles of red wine for 89 cents each. Now for someone like me that doesn't have sophisticated taste buds, I was a happy camper. Jeez, that’s cheaper than drinking toilet duck!

If you are passing Ronda, deffo drop in its brilliant. Loads to see and do, and its easy to waste a day looking around. Nightmare to park though, so go early or go with patience.

I went into a bullring today for the first and probably last time (the Ronda one) where I met my match in the ring, no not a ferocious bull, something worse.....

... The girlfriend! At least she was in a good mood today. (she'll probably delete this)

Back at the campsite now, and tomorrow, all being well, we'll be in Morocco.
